Lorie Karnath is an entrepreneur with an extensive background in finance, new technologies, and fundraising. She was elected president and is a founding member of the Molecular Frontiers Foundation, an organization hosted by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, dedicated to fostering cutting-edge science and education around the world. She also serves as president of the Global Explorers Alliance (Next Breath), an international effort focusing on discovery and new technologies.
She is the founder and managing editor of Molecular Frontiers Journal, a globally recognized, open access scientific publication produced and distributed by World Scientific, headquartered in Singapore. She served as the 37th president of the renowned Explorers Club and is a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. She participates on numerous international boards dedicated to science, discovery, preservation, and education and has authored several books on science and exploration.
She has an MBA from INSEAD and has received numerous awards and honors for her work, including an honorary Ph.D. from Shenandoah University.
