Caro Dubberly (they/them) is a multi-hyphenate theatre artist originally from North Texas who has been performing, directing, and teaching in the DMV for over ten years. A proud member of Actors’ Equity Association, they are a three-time Helen Hayes nominee for Outstanding Supporting Performer in a Play or Musical, and have played onstage at Studio Theatre, Woolly Mammoth Theatre, The Kennedy Center, Mosaic Theatre, Baltimore Center Stage, Pittsburgh Public Theatre, Arkansas Repertory Theatre, Dallas Children’s Theater, and Seattle Children’s Theatre, among others. Caro’s original musical, A Guide to Modern Possession, was a semi-finalist for the Eugune O’Neill National Music Theater Conference and a finalist for the Vanguard Arts Fund before being named Best of Fringe at the inaugural District Fringe Festival in 2025. They served as the Acting Teacher for the prestigious Musical Theatre Conservatory Program at Imagination Stage for seven years and have directed plays and musicals at Silver Spring Stage, Imagination Stage, Monumental Theatre, Milton Gottesman Jewish Day School, and the Mt. Olivet Players. Most recently, Caro performed with Marty Thomas and Omar Cardona at Atlas’s 20th Anniversary Benefit and directed The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds to much critical acclaim at Silver Spring Stage, where they also serve as a board member.
