Dr. Megan Kenna

Dr. Megan Kenna is the Founding Executive Director of Schmidt Science Fellows, a global postdoctoral program that Forbes described, just seven years after its founding, as “one of the most prestigious scientific postdoctoral awards in the world.” She has built and scaled the organization from inception into an international community of more than 240 scientists from 40 countries advancing interdisciplinary research to address complex global challenges.

Recognized by the BBC as one of the top five women “shaking up the science world,” Megan is a leading voice in global science innovation. She conceived of and helped establish the Interdisciplinary Science Rankings, developed with Times Higher Education, now encompassing 900+ institutions across 90+ countries.

In 2026, she helped launch the Global Higher Education Interdisciplinary Network, a peer-led consortium spanning seven world regions to strengthen research leadership and institutional innovation

A Rhodes Scholar, Megan holds doctorates in Neuroscience from the University of Oxford and Clinical Psychology from the Catholic University of America. A licensed psychologist, she previously founded a Memory Disorders Clinic at the Washington DC VA Medical Center and served as a dean and faculty member at Dartmouth College.
