Danai Brooks is the CEO of Komline, a global leader in manufacturing equipment for the water, renewable energy, and other sustainable industries. In recognition of his leadership in growing Komline, Danai was honored as an EY Entrepreneur of the Year award winner in 2022. Prior to Komline, Danai led the successful turnaround and sale of Dyadic, a public industrial biotechnology company, to DuPont. He began his career as an investment banker in J.P. Morgan’s M&A Group, where he led mergers and acquisitions in excess of $40 billion, and in senior operational, engineering, and manufacturing positions at Ford and Dell.
Danai holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and a Master of Engineering in Applied Operations Research from Cornell University, as well as a Master of Engineering Management and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
Outside of work, Danai is a black belt in taekwondo, an avid car enthusiast who restored a 1965 Ford Mustang, and an active supporter of his twin sons’ competitive fencing pursuits.
